Dana R Flores

PhD Candidate

Dana earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Baylor University and her master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Houston. After working for five years as a mechanical engineer in the Houston petrochemical and refining industry, she began her doctoral studies at University of Houston. Dana studies covalent organic framework-based membranes for nanofiltration applications using both experimental performance testing and continuum modeling. She was the 2021 recipient of the American Membrane Technology Association Ian C. Watson Fellowship for Membrane Advancement. In her free time, Dana enjoys hiking, reading, and playing volleyball.
